1. Who we are

FindNew.com.au is operated by MK Core Pty Ltd, ABN 27 635 650 654 (“we”, “us”, “our”), a licensed estate agency (Licence 096144L) and REIV member based at 220 Spencer Street, Melbourne VIC 3000. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains what we collect through this website, why, and the choices you have.

2. What we collect

• Enquiries and forms — when you contact us, request a call back, or ask about short-stay management, we collect the details you provide: typically your name, email address, phone number, and where relevant your suburb, property type and message.
• Accounts — if you register for the client portal, we hold your name, email address, phone number, an internal client number, and records connected to your dealings with us.
• Newsletter — if you subscribe, we hold your email address and any name or phone number you choose to give.
• Technical data — our servers keep standard access logs (IP address, pages requested, time).
• Analytics data — we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, how you arrived, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and whether you clicked key things such as a booking button or submitted an enquiry form. We have Google Signals enabled, which means Google may combine this with information from your Google account, where you have allowed that, to report aggregate age, gender and interest categories and to recognise the same person across devices. We never see your name or contact details through analytics, and we do not use it to advertise to you on other websites.

3. How we use your information

• To send you the newsletter or property updates you subscribed to — you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by contacting us
• To keep the website secure and improve how it works
• To meet our legal and professional obligations as a licensed estate agency

We do not sell personal information.

4. Cookies and similar technology

Essential cookieskeep you signed in to your account and remember your sign-in preference. Your browser’s local storage is used for small preferences, such as an announcement you have dismissed or properties you have saved. These are required for the site to work.

Analytics cookiesare set by Google Analytics 4 to measure how the site is used, as described in section 2. Because Google Signals is enabled, these count as advertising cookies under Google’s own terms, even though we do not run ads or build advertising audiences from them.

Third-party chat — our help chat widget is provided by Chatbase and may set its own cookies or storage when you interact with it.

You can opt out of Google Analytics entirely using Google’s browser opt-out add-on, turn off ads personalisation in your Google account settings, or block cookies in your browser. The site works normally either way — nothing is withheld from you for opting out.

5. Where your information is stored

Form submissions and account records are stored in our database hosted in Sydney, Australia. Information is encrypted in transit, and access is restricted to authorised staff.

6. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the business, and only to the extent needed for them to do so:

• Email delivery providers (for account emails and the newsletter)
• Website hosting and infrastructure providers
• Customer-relationship tools we use to manage enquiries and agreements
• Map services that display property locations on this site

Some of these providers process data outside Australia (for example in the European Union or the United States). Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the APPs. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

7. Access and correction

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing info@findnew.com.au or calling 1300 947 227. We will respond within a reasonable time.

8. How long we keep it

We keep personal information for as long as it is needed for the purposes above or as the law requires (for example, records connected to property transactions), then delete or de-identify it.

9. Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first and we will investigate. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
